Listen First
The hard times we now face require us to work together—we need more bridges and fewer divides. As we prepare for the future, many of the valley’s life-long residents feel like they are being left out of the conversation. Some long-term residents, such as our Latinx community, have never had an adequate voice. Some newer residents have moved their families here to join the community, only to feel unwelcome.
We can build bridges by intentionally and consistently inviting all our people to engage in the solutions. I have the social and management tools needed to build those bridges. I have the history in this place. I respect and care for all our people. I will work to help all elements of our community build connections across our cultural and political divides, to build trust and respect for one another as we work together to meet today’s challenges. Trust arises from genuine listening—hearing and understanding everyone’s needs. With a foundation of trust, we will have the power to find solutions for the well-being of all. |

Conserve Our Valley
We share a valley that has a tremendous cultural and natural legacy. The resourcefulness and resiliency of our pioneering families deserves enduring respect. Our wildlife, fisheries, mountain views, and public lands are irreplaceable treasures. Our agriculture is vital to our economic diversity and local food resources.
We will work together to conserve what makes Teton Valley special through careful stewardship of our agricultural, environmental, and cultural heritage. Future generations and families will be able to enjoy this place that we all call home. |
